I love the minutemen trail! Safe access to a relaxing nature walk! Refreshing, calming...
The town is cute, clean and drivers strictly respect pedestrian crossings making walking around the town feel safe. Great, strong competitive schools. The town's library is a gem full of resources. It is a safe, positive haven, for the elders as well as for our youth! The grounds are very well kept in most areas. My major issue is the rental quality. Outside the landscaping is maintained, but inside, expensive rental apartments are not well kept or updated. However, we overlook this because of all the pros living here. Hmmm and then that's why they keep increasing the rents. :(

Lexington is a wonderful community in many ways. It is beautiful and safe with little to no crime. I have spent my entire life here. There is always something to do between the daycamps, playground, sports and concerts. You could not ask for a better town to raise a family in.

Sadly our town is very expensive. Income tax rates continue to rise. Flooded basements are a common problem and the abundance of trees can lead to frequent power outages. The schools are very old and overcrowded. The teachers are not always as patient and skilled as they could be. If you look at the taxes you pay in this town our education could be a lot better! There isn't as much for older children especially if they don't play sports or participate in the arts. This town can be VERY liberal and EXTREMELY intense about things which can be hard.
Lexington is a safe, and family-friendly place to live. The prestigious schools are filled with caring and kind teachers, though the environment and mentality of the students can be very intense and overwhelming. The town center and overall atmosphere of the town is very friendly and lively. The town is diverse and inclusive and has shown initiative to make everyone living there feel welcomed and accepted. The houses and cost of living are pricey, but the benefits of living there outweigh these flaws. The town is very proud of its historical background and has many museums and artifacts to visit.
